General Information & Instructions
Park National Bank is excited to partner with The New Albany Community Foundation to provide an essay contest for all students attending the April 28, 2026 lecture in person or virtually. Students will get the opportunity to share their perspectives from this lecture and one student will win a $1,000 scholarship award from Park. Park is proud to support of education in our communities through this partnership with the NACF.
- Students who attend will have the opportunity to submit a written essay (400-600 words) or a video response (2-3 minutes) to Park National Bank – using the form below.
- One student will win a $1,000 scholarship.
- Students have approximately one week to submit their essay or video following the lecture.
- The winner will be notified by email, and the scholarship check will be presented or mailed by Park National Bank at a later date.
- Your submission is your agreement for Park National Bank/The New Albany Community Foundation to use part or all of your submission for future marketing and fundraising initiatives.
Linsey Davis, ABC News Live Prime anchor will moderate a conversation between James “The Ragin’ Cajun” Carville is America’s best-known political consultant and Reince Priebus who was named White House Chief of Staff shortly after the 2016 presidential campaign.
Essay prompt:
What was your biggest takeaway(s) from the conversation between Mr. Carville and Mr. Priebus on civil discourse and debate?
- Submissions due no later than May 6
