Park National Bank names John Brown Chief Retail Banking Officer and Market President
NEWARK, Ohio – Park National Bank (Park) announced today that John Brown, President of the bank’s West Region has been named Chief Retail Banking Officer and Market President of its Central Region.

Brown joined the Park team as a management associate in 1991. During his 35-year career, he has held numerous leadership roles, including president of multiple Park divisions. His track record of driving growth and fostering strong relationships makes him uniquely qualified to lead Park’s Central Ohio region.
“John is the ideal choice to lead our bankers in Central Ohio,” said Park CEO and President Matt Miller. “His decades of experience, proven leadership and strong commitment to community and customer service make him well-suited for this role.”
Brown is very active in the Springfield community and currently serves on the boards of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, Community Health Foundation, Clark State College Foundation and United Way of Clark, Champaign, and Madison Counties. He’s also held leadership roles and served in volunteer capacities for Ohio Means Jobs of Clark County, City of Springfield Leadership Team, Greater Springfield Housing Alliance and Consortium and Springfield City Schools Business Advisory Council.

Brown earned a bachelor’s degree in business, graduating cum laude from the University of Toledo. He’s also a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking in Madison, Wisconsin.
