Park sponsors Hal McCoy Journalism Scholarship

Zurie Pope was the recipient of the Hal McCoy Journalism Scholarship, an award sponsored exclusively by Park National Bank. Zurie is a graduate of Piqua High School, and has enrolled at the University of Cincinnati with plans to become an investigative reporter.

Park has sponsored the $2,500 scholarship since its inception 11 years ago, and the award is named for Hall of Fame writer McCoy, who spent nearly 50 years as the Cincinnati Reds beat writer for the Dayton Daily News.
