Park National Bank donates building to Opportunities for Individual Change (OIC)

October 22, 2020

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Park National Bank has donated its Western office building at 920 West Main Street in Springfield to Opportunities for Individual Change (OIC) of Clark County, effective October 1, 2020. OIC will move its administrative offices to the building, which closed as a banking office this past spring, and will use the facility for education and job training for underserved populations. The organization has helped more than 45,000 people over the past four decades, offering training, youth programming, alternative high school education, counseling, and referral services, as well as job training and placement assistance for formerly incarcerated individuals.

“Opportunities for Individual Change has provided so many important services to our community and it has been instrumental in helping people become self-sufficient,” Park National Bank Division President John Brown said. “While that facility no longer suits our business needs in that location, we are confident it will be a valuable resource for OIC to expand its services in the area. We are very pleased to donate the property to a neighborhood organization doing great work for Springfield.”

According to Brown, the bank plans to keep its ATM at that West Main Street location and upgrade it in 2021, helping to serve local customers in concert with the bank’s nearby offices (like its Downtown or Springfield North Offices). The upgraded ATM will include new features like enhanced deposit options, customizable customer preferences and more. Park also offers digital banking services and a 24/7 Customer Care Center.
“Park National Bank’s generous donation of this office building to OIC comes at a perfect time, and we appreciate the bank’s support. This donation allows us to move our administrative offices so we can expand our growing alternative high school at our current location. The new location also further compliments OIC’s revitalization of the West Main St. corridor where we have already repurposed two buildings,” said OIC Executive Director Mike Calabrese.

Additional facts:
• Both the Springfield Downtown Office and the Springfield North Office of Park National Bank feature additional conveniences including drive-thru banking and a drive-up ATM.

• Park’s Customer Care Center is open and ready to serve customers 24/7 over the phone and online.
• All deposits made at Park National ATMs before 7pm post the same business day.
